Biotech One raises €1M to industrialise its clean technologies
8 April 2026
Biotech One raised €1 million to speed the industrial deployment of its supercritical CO₂ encapsulation and extraction technologies. The round is backed by Région Sud Investissement and CAAP Création (Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence).
The stated aim is to replace traditional processes with clean, continuous and scalable alternatives. EncapX® is the continuous nano-encapsulation technology, with an encapsulation efficiency above 97 percent, precise control, and a path to scale. Extract-X® is the continuous extraction technology, run without toxic solvents and without a drying step, from wet biomass.
The applications named with the announcement are pharma, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and natural ingredients. Le Journal des Entreprises, covering the Marseille company, described its work as the encapsulation of fragile molecules, including a route to stabilise vaccines. Fabien Balme, Elissandro Klein and Elisabeth Badens are named around the announcement. CAAP Création said it was taking a stake alongside Région Sud Investissement, to support industrialisation and market development.
